Playful ones

In springtime of 2024 Meike van Riel is start to paint different compositions and she likes to draw lines in the artworks. This process is a natural development after completing the Solo's series. Her new paintings often have a cheerful and occasionally powerful look. She works on various sizes of canvas and paper. Within contemporary and complex society, there is also room for joy and playfulness.
